Moving Between Rooms
You've now posted your very first message, and are ready to move on to another room on the BeBS. In each room a different conversation is going on. The type of conversation is usually indicated by the room's name, but conversations on a BeBS are subject to topic drift, just like real conversations.
If you'd like to know what your current room's topic is about, you can request (I)nformation about the board. Not all rooms have information entered, but this is generally a good place to start.
To move on to the next room that has messages you haven't seen, you simply hit (G)oto Next Room. If doing that brings you back to the first room, you've seen all that's there to be seen, and you're ready to log out (see "Logging Out" below), or maybe play some door games (see "Extra Stuff.")
Once you're in the new room, you can read the (N)ew messages, (E)nter messages of your own, or (G)oto the next room if the current one doesn't interest you, or if you're done there.
If there's a specific room you want to go to, you can hit the (.) key to begin entering an Advanced Command. Advanced Commands do not execute until you hit "Enter." So, to go to a specific room, the command looks like this:
.(G)oto ROOMNAME
ROOMNAME is the name (or a partial name) of the room you want to go to. If you want to know which rooms are available, simply hit (K)nown Rooms at the room prompt, and it'll give you a list of all the rooms on 8088online.
